TOM, DIRK, JOHAN & HERMAN VLAEMYNCK

Johan, Herman and Dirk grew up in their parents’ tomato growing company. Dirk’s son Tom later joined the family business.

‘Did you know that the first tomatoes brought back by Colombus were yellow? In Italy they still refer to tomatoes as ’golden apples’ or ‘pomodori’.’

‘The family favourite has to be the Kubello tomato: beautifully shaped, firm and delicious!’

‘Our go-to tomato recipe: sliced Coeur de Boeuf baked in the oven with fresh basil and burrata.’
