Tomato Masters is a family business that has been growing tomatoes with passion and craftsmanship since 1966. Started by Julien Vlaemynck, the company has now grown into a well-known name in the sector. In 1983, the family opted for hydroponics, which significantly improved both the yield and the sustainability of the cultivation. Today, the company covers 21 hectares of greenhouses in Deinze and is part of the Tomeco Group, led by Matthias Demuyt and Tom Vlaemynck.

In 2023, Hortipower's success expanded with the acquisition of an adjacent horticultural company named Vitapower. The new company was refreshed and immediately started growing tomatoes according to the same principles of innovation and sustainability that characterize Hortipower. Vitapower quickly proved to be a success, with the company increasingly integrated into the activities of both Hortipower and Tomeco.

Hortipower was founded in 2006 by John Vermeiren, Dirk Van den Plas and Tom Lefevre, with a shared passion for innovation and sustainable horticulture. John and Dirk, who both come from a family of gardeners, decided, together with their wives, Karine and Lia, to take the step into growing tomatoes. As early as 1998, John and Dirk worked together to set up Intergrow, a horticultural facility in the US. This marked the start of their joint adventure, which ultimately led to the creation of Hortipower.
