We already have a whole family of fun characters, and of course that includes a few fun oddballs!
Coeur de Boeuf
The Coeur de Boeuf is a large heirloom tomato with a fresh, healthy flavor that is perfect for carpaccio, soups, sauces and oven dishes. But you can't help but love my character! Despite my French name, my homeland is Belgian soil, or at least the greenhouse on it. I ripen from the inside out, so I'm at my best when I'm still a little green behind the ears. It's what's inside that counts. You'll be amazed at how I can serve up a beautiful plate of fresh carpaccio, but I also know my way around hot dishes.
San Marzano
This authentic heirloom tomato has a nice oblong shape and very little juice, making this variety particularly suitable for soups, sandwiches and toppings.
Known and renowned as Thomasso, I first catch your eye because of my shape, which is why you'll find me in a specially adapted bed, neatly laid out with my crown still fresh and intact. With my crown, I have a longer shelf life and am ready to make it a fun meal!
Frieda
Frieda is no ordinary tomato. With her deep red color, exotic shape and bright green crown, she is ready for any culinary adventure. Whether you want to grill, roast, puree or even try a savory ice cream, Frieda does it all. She sticks to her twig even after the campfire — ideal for tapas! Be surprised by her rich taste and endless possibilities. Sometimes wild, sometimes pure... but always delicious.
My parents call me a midi plum tomato, but that's a mouthful for the specialists. To my friends, I'm Frieda, the tapas tomato!
Although I haven't fully explored my own country, Belgium, I'm already eager to try new things and explore new culinary horizons.
I have a fresh crown, a deep red color, and, if I may say so myself, a nice shape that you can do a lot with. Spicy, piquant, fresh, and sweet—I can handle it all. I don't even shy away from the hottest (grill) fires. Even in intense heat, I remain firmly attached to my branch! Let's try some new things together: delicious tomato sorbet, delicious jam, or just sitting together around the campfire. I'm open to anything.
